Isabella 9 is out!  I'm surprised they didn't name her Margo... that might have been too obvious though.  wink

Am I allowed to mention Elle Fanning and Isabella 9 in the same sentence together?
After all, that would be, ahem, something... Great
    Asking for a friend, LOL

The older add-on has a Jennifer Morrison vibe, Emma Swann in Once Upon A Time, although I recognise her from House.

You beat me to it on Elle Fanning.

    Yup, same here.

This topic is valuable to me because over half the celebrities named aren't ones I could spot, and I want to avoid widely recognized faces when I develop characters for my images and stories.

Not so obvious that I knew what you meant without looking it up.

Maybe a generational problem, with many of the elderly, like me, not using the modern "TV Media" that much?!?

I recognized her right away. First thing I remember seeing her in is Maleficent and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (with Angelina Jolie).

While I don't consider myself elderly... I'm a Gen X'er.  I do mostly watch only streaming.  I suppose my comment was directed at those who know Elle Fanning's work, "Margo's Got Money Troubles" being a more recent addition.  It was based on a novel though. angel

If you don't watch TV much, I guess that's all the better, as you can look at the character with a fresh perspective.  I do think it is a very good likeness.  Maelwenn has done a great job!  Perhaps better than some of the "professional" video game one's out there that have been created from her movie characters.

Excectly what I meant. Boomers like me probably don't use streaming from so many different sources. I don't and most of the people of my age who I know don't. I never heard of that series before and now, after having read some description I don't think I missed anything important. wink

My father is a boomer, he has Netflix, Apple+ and Amazon Prime.  So it might be best not to generalize.  As for "Margo's Got Money Troubles", Elle Fanning is up for an Emmy Award (in two weeks).  I think she's got a good chance to win it for Best Actress in a Comedy.  The show was excellently done (as most Apple series are).  It may not be for everyone, but it is the type of show I wish more men would watch to help them gain some insight and empathy for women.  My two cents.

Yeah, generalizing isn't good. Could be different, just because my base of thought is Germany, not the USofA and old people here might be different than those in the US. At least those like me and the ones that I know surely are.

And all I ever need to know about empathy was taught to me by my grandaunt, my mother and - of  course - my wife. Wouldn't expect to be able to learn much new from an US TV show

Just for the record, I'm from Canada.  Definitely not the USofA.

I pointed out Maxine/Jean as Jodie Foster back on Page 81, but to my surprise, no one voiced agreement.
Clarice appears to be a younger Jodie Foster.

I'll say Jean/Maxine hits closer to the mark than Clarice. I likely didn't comment before because I don't visit this thread that often and sometimes I just lurk.

To be honest I'm having a hard time thinking Clarice is even a young Jodie Foster, but in some of the renders I do see a resemblence.  Either way, if Clarice is meant to be Jodie Foster, then I think she's been outdone by Jean/Maxine, who looks way more like her to me.

I would say Clarice is closer to her appearance in Taxi Driver than as Clarice Starling in Silence of the Lambs. Compare, e.g.

Also, the product copy amusingly lists her height as 4'12".

Not bad after seeing that one, and she's definitely a younger Jodie Foster than the Jean/Maxine version.

To the best of my knowledge, "baby boomer" is largely an Anglosphere thing. And within that cohort, there are small-b boomers, and then there are capital-B "OK Boomers". Dolly Parton and Sam Neill were the former, while the latter we all know who.

That second picture looks like a VYK girl to the point that, if you asked "Who's the vendor?" I'd have said VYK. Weird!

    Interesting misdirection.
